Benefit Concert at The Weinberg Center

The Weinberg Center and Local Musicians to
Host a Benefit Concert for
Disaster Victims including the Haiti Earthquake
Saturday, February 20, 2010
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

On Saturday, February 20th from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. the Weinberg Center will be joining forces with Scott Ambush of Spyro Gyra, Deanna Bogart, Shane Gamble, The Knight Brothers, and other musicians to put on a special benefit concert for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Tickets are $10 with 100% of proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Tickets are available at the door, over the phone at 301.600.2828, or online at www.weinbergcenter.org

Proceeds for this event will go to both the Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund and the Frederick County Chapter of the American Red Cross. During times of economic disaster, Americans are more than generous to step in and help out, globally, nationally and locally. The Weinberg Center is directing the funds raised from each ticket be divided with $7.50 of each ticket supporting Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund, and $2.50 of each ticket supporting Frederick County Red Cross Disaster Relief. The goal is to raise money that can go towards helping local citizens and those who are less fortunate around the world. Come out, see great music and show your support! Bring the entire family!

Taxpayers who itemize deductions on their 2009 return qualify for this special tax relief provision, enacted on January 22, 2010 for donations made to Haiti. Cash contributions made to American Red Cross between January 11, 2010 and before March 1, 2010, are eligible to be deducted. This includes contributions made by check, credit card or debit card.

The Weinberg Center for the Arts, a municipal facility of the City of Frederick, is located at 20 West Patrick Street in downtown Frederick, Maryland.
