PARTICIPANTS BEING ACCEPTED FOR PANGAEA FREDERICK

Still new to the community is Pangaea Frederick – A Festival Celebrating Our Heritage. The goal of Pangaea Frederick is to provide a venue to learn about and enjoy the growing diversity within Frederick City and County. The event offers the chance to celebrate different cultures through unique food, entertainment, traditions, and arts.

The 2009 Pangaea festival is scheduled for May 9th at the Westridge Square Shopping Center, Route 40 West/Golden Mile. The event will kick off with a Naturalization Ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by the heritage festival at noon.

Luckily for anyone interested in participating, Celebrate Frederick and the Frederick County Human Relations Commission are still looking for participants to bring more diversity to the event. Non-profit groups, craft vendors, food vendors, and entertainers are all needed to bring their diverse heritage to life at Pangaea.

All participants must be approved by the Pangaea Frederick Committee and receive a license from The City of Frederick Office of Special Events. If you are interested, please contact organizers at 301-600-2844. For more information please visit www.celebratefrederick.com.
