CAREY ZIEGLER’S EXPENSIVE HOBBY TO CLOSE THE

On Sunday, August 24^th at 7 p.m., the members of Carey Ziegler’s Expensive Hobby will produce a rhapsody of electrifying sounds with their high-energy talent, for a free performance in the Baker Park Bandshell, Frederick, Maryland. This promising performance is intended for all music lovers, regardless of preferred genre, interested in live and enjoyable musical performances. This show is part of the Summer Concert Series, presented by Celebrate Frederick, Inc, and is the final performance of the season.

Carey Ziegler’s Expensive Hobby has been a staple of Baltimore’s Best Bands list and the band’s diverse musical ability is evident with its flawless interpretations of Steely Dan, Chicago, and the Beatles, amongst other praised musicians. The band has performed with such artists as The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and Scott Ambush of Spyro Gyra. The band is a key component to the Baltimore/.D.C. music scene for its extensive playing throughout the region, and expanding fan base. Aside from professional musicians, the band members are worthy producers, having produced two of their CD’s, which contain highly admired original material. This performance is sure to be relished by all who attend, particularly for their renowned instrumental abilities and thrilling stage presence.

Plan to arrive early to enjoy a free Carillon concert beginning at 6 p.m. Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase from 6-8:30 p.m.

While the performances are free to the public, the Concert Committee encourages you to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission. Non-perishable items such as canned meats and vegetables, soups, peanut butter, cereal, rice and pastas are requested. All items collected benefit the Frederick Food Bank. Items will be collected at the information booth, located at the Baker Park Bandshell steps.
