Evan Almighty and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Scheduled for the big screen in Baker Park

The 2008 Summer Nite Cinema season will feature two family friendly films during the final weeks of summer. The movies will be shown on an inflatable screen in the Carillon area of Baker Park on Saturday, August 23^rd and Friday, September 5^th.

Start the season with an evening of laughs with PG-rated Evan Almighty on Saturday, August 23^rd. Continue the fun on Friday, September 5^th as you follow the adventures of boy-wizard Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, rated PG.

Movies begin at dusk, but plan to arrive at 7 p.m. each evening for special programming, including a costume contest in the Bandshell at 8 PM. Come as your favorite animal on August 23^rd or your favorite character from the Harry Potter series on September 5^th, and compete for fun prizes.

Don’t miss pony rides each evening, and the chance to win big prizes under the stars, courtesy of 99.9 WFRE Free Country. Two grand prizes will be given away during the series, including a trip to Tennessee and a trip to Orlando, FL! Other prizes will include several day trips and other family-friendly treats. Proceeds from pre-movie activities will benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Monetary donations will also be accepted at Information Centers.
