The troupe, that put the “mock” in democracy includes former and current Congressional staffers, takes a humorous look at serious national issues in song parodies and skits. Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded 29 albums, including their latest, Obama Mia. They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard 4 times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials. The group performs over 500 performances a year.

The Steps’ material is updated constantly and may include favorite moments from the last year, including songs featuring Hank Paulson, Nancy Pelosi, Vladimir Putin, and Rod Blagojevich, with special reminiscences from George W. Bush. Come enjoy the Capitol Steps as they perform tales of crisis from subprime borrowers, Wall Street bankers, auto executives, and anyone with a 401(k) and much, much more. No matter who's in the headlines, the Capitol Steps are equal opportunity offenders.
