Celebrate Frederick, Inc. is currently accepting applications for those interested to serve on its Board of Directors. The mission statement of the organization is “Celebrate Frederick, Inc. is a private non-profit corporation working in partnership with the City of Frederick in the planning and implementation of special events and activities to offer the community a shared cultural experience.”
The Board of Directors skillfully provides direction, management, strategic planning and leadership to the organization and its event committees. Celebrate Frederick produces fourteen annual events in the City of Frederick each year, with signature events including Frederick’s 4th-An Independence Day Celebration, Summer Concert Series in Baker Park and In the Street.
Current openings on the Board are to fulfill Director positions. Directors shall be elected in the month of November and installed in January 2010. Each Director of the Board shall hold office for a term of three years.
